Recenze/Review:
http://www.backstreetbattalion.comTak po celkem dlouhé dob? vydává tahle australská kapela, kde p?sobí bývalý zp?vák ze Skint Barry, regulérní dlouhé album. Kapela to zahájila mini albem All or Nothing z roku 2009, pak o ní nebylo ?ty?i roky moc slyąet a nedávno vylezla s ochutnávkovým singlem Brisbane Oi!, jenľ najdete komplet na tomto albu. Celkem zde najdete 12 song? (v?etn? coveru All the Lessons, který je od Rose Tattoo a který byl i na singlu). Kapela v prvních ?ty?ech písních jede dop?edu jak hovado (dva ze ?ty? song? jsou zbývající songy ze singlu). Pátej song Bullshiters and Backstabbers troąku zvolní, ale nahradí to singalongem a sólí?kem/riffem který p?ipomene Ace of Spades. Po ní následuje pro m? nejlepąí song z alba s názvem Glass Half Fucked, která obsahuje v refrénu v??nou otázku, jestli je sklenice poloprázdná nebo poloplná. Daląí songy mají klasické poetické názvy jako Work is the Curse (samoz?ejm? ľe of the Drinking Class ? t?etí kapela co vim, ľe o tom zpívá), sypa?ka Hangover, Pissed and Proud se zvukem jak z osmdesátek, Us Against Them, coľ je song o boji proti politk?m a korupci nebo Same Old Story.
English version:After the quite long time release this Aussie band with singer Barry from Skint regular album. They have released debut mini in 2009 called All or Nothing then four years nothing and this year they came up with single called Brisbane Oi! which is also on this full length. Together you can listen to twelve songs (including cover All the Lessons from Rose Tattoo). First four songs are really fast and straightforward (two of them are from singleú. Fifth song is called Bullshiters and Backstabbers and it is slower little bit but with great singalong and solo/riff like from Ace of Spades. Then came the best song from the album for me called Glass Half Fucked with eternal question in refrain if the glass is half full or half fucked. Other songs have classi poetic titles like Work is the Curse (of the Drinking Class for sure ?third band wite same song title), fast song Hangover, Pissed and Proud with 80´s sound, Us Against Them ? which is about the fight against corruption and politicians or Same Old Story. I have to say that the solo guitar is great and it has its place almost in each song. Cover is OK (similar to TMF´s Hate Edge single). I have just digi release for know but I promise I will have a look for LP when it will be out.
www.american-oi.comPlan Of Attack hail from Brisbane, Australia and have been around for a couple of years now. And altough the band?s first release, the mini-album ?All Or Nothing?, came out almost four years ago the band is still going strong and proven with the ?Brisbane Oi!? 7? that was released last month and their upcoming debut full-length ?Stick To Your Guns? which will be released on both CD and vinyl by Rebellion Records.
The three songs that are on the ?Brisbane Oi!? 7? are also featured on this album and get the company of nine more smashing Oi! tracks. I don?t know i fit has anything to with Australia?s past, but 9 out of 10 bands seem to sound pissed off and tough as nails and Plan Of Attack is no exception on this one. The band manages to combine the glory days of 80?s British Oi! music combined with that hardrock ?n? roll sound those Aussies just seem to love! Just think of C84?s Kev singing for The Corps and leave the slide guitars at home and you pretty much have an idea of Plan Of Attack?s sound.
After bands such as Slick 46, Marching Orders and The Corps Rebellion Records releases yet another great band from Down Under. Fans of bands such as Condemned 84, The Corps, Combat 84 and Rose Tattoo be aware, you?re going to fucking love this record!!
